No doubt you are wondering why we chose a monkey on the label for this BASF Exclusive Wine. The monkey symbolizes the history of the small wine-growing village of Ilbesheim in Southern Palatinate where this wine is made. People living in neighboring villages often referred to the Ilbesheimers as monkeys. This was not meant as an insult, but rather a positive way to describe the villagers’ curiosity, their joie de vivre, and their playful nature.

This powerful but still elegant Pinot Blanc rocks! The nose is dominated by fresh pear and apple aromas, and light notes of aniseed. On the palate you will detect minerality, fresh citrus, and a lively acidic finish. A full-bodied Pinot Blanc matured in barrique barrels is breaking free from traditional boundaries with full force. Let’ Rock!
