Mesel BASF Auftakt "Kick-Off" white blend 2023

This is our kickoff for the 2023 vintage and we do so with a wine that we at BASF wine cellar feel very strongly about. The wine world is faced by the increasing challenge of climate change. The BASF wine cellar is therefore proud to support the winery Mesel in their effort to produce wines from new better adapted hybrid varietals. Cabernet Blanc is such a hybrid grape, and it is vigorous, highly disease- and frost resistant, and require almost no crop protection. 

In the Kick-off blend, the Cabernet Blanc is blended with the classic Sauvignon Blanc grape. The aromas show a wide variety of fruit and herbal notes like apple, peach, star fruit, lemon and freshly cut grass. The taste is mouth filling with a slight sweetness that makes one long for another glass. You will not be disappointed!

This wine excited us so much that we did not just decide to make it a “BASF Exclusive” wine, but we used our most traditional BASF wine cellar label for it.
