To make this special Traditionscuvee for BASF, the winemaker at Heim'sche Sektkellerei used a selection of superior Riesling base wines. In the pursuit of maximum quality, the Traditionscuvee is produced exclusively using traditional bottle fermentation or Méthode Champenoise. To emphasize its exceptional quality, the traditional French spelling Sect is used instead of the German word Sekt. It is a refreshing sparkling wine, with pure Riesling notes, and scents of limes and grapefruit and an herbal bouquet. It is perfect as an aperitif or together with a savory plate of charcuterie and cheese. But this sect is so good it works at any occasion and pairs with almost anything…Fun Fact: There are over 2,000 sekt producers in Germany and in Germany they consume over 5 bottles of sparkling wine per person and year... 5 times the rate in the US!
